Description
Featuring a bright-eyed, bright-chested American Robin! American Robins are not actually related to European Robins. Belonging to the thrush family, these birds are unique for their bright red breasts and blue eggs. Widespread across North America, they are rare anywhere else in the word.
This print is part of a series of Music Bird Paintings, featuring watercolour and ink illustrations of different species of birds on aged, acid-free music sheets. These prints measure 5”x7”, are printed by inkjet onto FSC (Forest Sustainability Certified) paper with a textured, linen weave to help bring out the colour and the detail.
This is part of my “Print & Plant” initiative, where each Music Bird Print sold equates to one tree being planted by Tree Canada. To date, over 85 trees have been planted since 2019.
