Boxing Shoes – Waiting

My dad was a club boxer when he was young. Because some old things tug at my heart strings for reasons I have yet to uncover and because they were my father’s boxing shoes, when I found them in the attic I took them home (with permission, of course). I always felt they had a story to tell. I’ve tried to photograph them for many years without success until now.
