Description
Like rabbits or groundhogs, burrowing owls live in hold underground. Unlike most owls, burrowing owls are diurnal (active during the day). They are an endangered and threatened species because of loss of habitat due to farming, roads, airport and golf course construction.
This print is part of a series of Music Bird Paintings, featuring watercolour and ink illustrations of different species of birds on aged, acid-free music sheets. These prints measure 5”x7”, are printed by inkjet onto FSC (Forest Sustainability Certified) paper with a textured, linen weave to help bring out the colour and the detail.
This is part of my “Print & Plant” initiative, where each Music Bird Print sold equates to one tree being planted by Tree Canada. To date, over 85 trees have been planted since 2019.
