Heart Earth Pendant

Description

Pam created the Earth Series in the 1980’s as a reminder of the beauty of our planet. She has expanded the series to include several types of pendants with images of both the Earth and Nova Scotia. The pendants are made by Pam, entirely by hand in our Mahone Bay studio. She carved the original image in plaster, then cast the pendant in a fine white clay. They are then hand-painted with underglaze and covered with a transparent coloured glaze and fired to 1700°F. All the pendants come strung on either a non-tarnishing metal chain or a fine black leather cord. This time of Covid19 has really focused our attention on the links between Nova Scotia and the Earth. We must appreciate their beauty and take great care of them.
